Gallery House Rules
To make a visit to the Singapore City Gallery a pleasant experience for all, please observe the below rules.
Group visits
Prior
booking
is required for group visits of more than 20 people, to ensure that the Gallery is not overcrowded when you visit. Please submit your booking
here
for a self-discovery visit for your group.
Safety measures to note
Please follow the one-way entry & exit points as directed by our staff and signage.
Avoid speaking loudly, especially in spaces with audio presentations (examples shown below) where you may unconsciously do so.
Food & beverages
Food and drinks are not permitted on the 2
nd
and 3
rd
levels of the Gallery.
Animals
No pets are permitted in the Gallery, with the exception of guide dogs.
Miniature models
Please refrain from touching the models.
Use of selfie sticks to take close-up pictures of the miniature models is not permitted.
Photography and filming
Use of tripods is not permitted in the Gallery.
Still photography (without flash) for non-commercial use is permitted.
Photography and filming for commercial use is chargeable, and only allowed with the authorisation from the Gallery management. For commercial or press photography and videography in the Gallery,
contact us
to request for permission.
Strollers and bulky items
Strollers and luggage may be brought into the Gallery. However, do be considerate of other visitors when doing so.
Accessibility
Visitors should access all three levels of the Gallery using the glass lifts at the entrance facing Maxwell Food Centre.
The vehicle drop-off point is the bus bay facing Maxwell Food Centre, along Kadayanallur Street (refer to photo below).
Buses picking up large groups should arrive on time, so as to prevent traffic congestion at the drop-off point.
Should there be VIP visitors present during your visit, access to some parts of the Gallery may be temporarily restricted. During those times, we seek your kind cooperation with the Gallery staff and security guards on site.
Consideration for others
Speak in gentle tones. Others are also learning and exploring.
Children aged 12 and below must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
No running and playing are permitted within the Gallery premises.
Please do not obstruct the passage of other visitors.
The Gallery reserves the right to remove any person acting in an unacceptable manner.
Note to travel guides and agencies
Walk-ins for big groups (> 20 persons) are not allowed. Prior booking is required for group visits of more than 20 people.
If there are multiple large groups in your booking, please stagger their arrival times to be no less than 15 mins apart, so as to minimise crowding within the Gallery.
We seek your cooperation to ensure that your respective groups observe and follow the Gallery house rules.
