i Light Singapore 2020 to be postponed

  Published: 11 February 2020

The annual i Light Singapore 2020 light art festival, scheduled to be held from 6 to 29 March 2020, will be postponed. The new dates for the Festival will be announced in due course.

With the current Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level stepped up to Orange amidst the 2019 novel coronavirus situation, the postponement of i Light Singapore 2020 is in line with the advisory to cancel or defer non-essential large-scale events.

Furthermore, some of the artworks and complementary activities lined up for the upcoming Festival will require visitors to come into close contact with the artworks or other individuals.

Several artists have also encountered some delays in fabricating their artworks due to the current situation. In this regard, postponing the Festival to a later date will allow visitors to have a more optimal experience with the artworks and programme line-up.

The artists whose artworks have been selected for i Light Singapore 2020 will be invited to present their works when we identify a suitable date to bring back the event for all to enjoy.
