Fort Canning Park (Foothills)

One of Singapore’s most historic landmarks, Fort Canning Park has witnessed much of Singapore’s history, from the time of the Malay Kings to World War II and many artefacts can still be seen today. The Foothills Fort Canning Park is the latest extension of Fort Canning Park, located along River Valley Road. Locals remember the site fondly as the former River Valley Swimming Complex.

The four original buildings from the swimming complex were restored and have been converted into art spaces, café and the National Parks Board office. These buildings, together with the original turnstile entrance, now serve as reminder of the carefree days spent at the former River Valley Swimming Complex.
