Bringing Plans To Reality

To bring the Long-Term Plan and Master Plan to implementation, state land is then released for development through the Government Land Sales programme.

Before any development work is carried out, our Development Control department evaluates and grants approval for projects, ensuring that they are in line with our planning strategies and guidelines.

The pace of development is generally determined by various factors such as market demand, prevailing market conditions, and the developmental state of the site’s immediate surroundings. We often work with other government agencies to provide the basic infrastructure and utilities required for timely development.

Singapore adopts a systematic framework to determine and mitigate the potential impact of any new development on the environment. In general, development projects are required to undergo a thorough evaluation process that addresses the development’s potential impact on traffic, public health, heritage, and the environment.
