Our city centre is steeped in history and culture, home to some of the most notable architectural and heritage landmarks.
We will continue to celebrate and enrich our arts, culture and heritage assets through place making and public realm enhancements to anchor our city centre as a cultural and lifestyle destination.
We want to hear your views on how we can make our city centre more vibrant!

Waterloo Street
Waterloo Street, being at the heart of the Bras Basah.Bugis arts belt, is being studied for future streetscape improvements, such as wider sidewalks to make walking a delight, and more public spaces for arts and cultural activities to spill out onto the street. We would like to hear your views to help us better plan for this street.
NS Square
The Float@Marina Bay, built in 2007 as a temporary facility, has become a popular venue for both national and community events. These include the National Day Parade, Marina Bay Singapore Countdown, and River Hongbao. It has also been the stage for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010, concerts, such as ROCK ON! 2017, and all the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix races since 2008.
There are plans to develop The Float@Marina Bay into the new NS Square. The NS Square will be a unique stage for events, a venue for community and recreational activities, and an NS-themed gallery to showcase National Service (NS) stories and contributions of our NSmen.
Your responses to the questions below will help us in planning the line-up of events and activities at the new NS Square!
Q8. The NS Square will also have a gallery to showcase our nation’s NS and defence journey, and tell visitors the contributions of generations of NSmen to Singapore.
