Involving Community in Play
Find out how community feedback has helped shape plans for more everyday play spaces near homes, parks and activity areas under the Master Plan 2025.
Recreation for All Ages and Abilities
To make recreation more inclusive, we can incorporate designated quiet spaces and introduce more inclusive playgrounds for all ages and abilities. We can also consider how to enhance the design of public spaces to prioritise accessibility and improve the overall experience for persons with disabilities.

Build-A-Playground (BAP) Initiative
Residents can co-design and co-build playgrounds with HDB. Over 9,300 residents and students from Sembawang, Toa Payoh, Pasir Ris, Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands have contributed to the design of new thematic neighbourhood playgrounds.
Participatory Design Projects
HDB’s rejuvenation projects such as the Remaking Our Heartland programme partners community stakeholders (residents, grassroots, interest groups, schools) to co-design neighbourhood spaces.
