Explanatory Notes to Extension of Written Permission
Under the powers conferred by the Planning (Development) Rules, the Competent Authority hereby requests that all applications for extension of written permission for development projects be made in accordance with the following requirements:
1. Application form
Every application for extension of written permission must be made on the prescribed application form. The reason for the extension and the following progress statement as shown below must be stated in a covering letter submitted in a file.
Building under construction up to ____ storey.
If works have commenced, state outstanding works and submit photographs of works under progress. If not, please explain why you are unable to implement the approved project.
2. Plans to be submitted
[This plan must be scanned into a file for transmission through the EDA]
Site Plan
Where the approved development is for a layout of housing development and building works have commenced and in progress. 1 copy of site plan with a proper legend showing the progress of implementation of the development is required.
3. Fee
Please refer to the Fee Schedule [PDF, 451 KB].
4. General
General information
i. | An application for extension of Written Permission can only be made 2 months (at the earliest) before the expiry of the Written Permission. |
ii. | In order that the application can be processed quickly, all particulars requested should be given. The Competent Authority may also request additional information on the application under consideration. |
iii. | In connection with the above, Rule 4(3) of the Planning (Development) Rules, 1990 Ed. is reproduced below for your information. |
