New GFA Assistant plugin for GFA Verification

​In line with the adoption of BIM technologies in CORENET X, URA has developed GFA Assistant, which is aimed at improving the accuracy of GFA checks. For a start, the tool will check for Covered Floor Areas. More rules will be added progressively, to address various GFA exemptions. ​

QPs can install the file through the links below. This runs as a plugin in Autodesk Revit. The plugin will allow QPs to:​

  1. Set up the model correctly and generate a Configuration File, which will be submitted with the Revit models for GFA verification at Construction Gateway stage. ​

  2. Conduct a preliminary GFA check on Covered Areas, if they also have Rhino 8 (opens in new tab) and Rhino.Inside.Revit (opens in new tab) installed.​

​For projects where GFA verification is required, URA will inform QPs to install this plugin and provide guidance on the process.​
