1. What is Legal Requisition?
Legal Requisition is a search that provides information on the latest planning decision, the current Master Plan zoning for a property. Any member of the public may apply for a Legal Requisition. In most cases the Legal Requisition is submitted by law firms, usually for the purpose of property transactions.
2.What are the charges involved?
A flat fee of $50 (subject to GST) per property will be charged upon each application of Legal Requisition.
3. What are the modes of payment URA accept for Legal Requisition?
As of now, URA accepts 2 payment modes for this service, namely:
Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard)*
eNETS Debit*

Credit Card
On the payment gateway page for Credit Card payment,
enter your name that appears on your credit card, followed by your credit card number and expiry date
verify that the information entered is correct, and proceed with payment
you will be directed back to a notification page if your payment was successful, or prompted to contact our Customer Service Officer in the event of any problems
4. How long do I have to wait before I get a reply?
In most cases, you will receive our reply within 3 working days.
5. How will URA send me a reply?
You will receive a reply through email or fax.
6. What are the information I need to furnish URA when applying for Legal Requisition?
When applying for Legal Requisition, you need to furnish URA with the following particulars:
Name of property
Address of property
Lot No, Town Subdivision (TS) / Mukim (MK) number of property
Applicant Particulars
7. Where can I obtain the Lot Number and TS / MK Number of a property?
You may access the INTEGRATED LAND INFORMATION SERVICE (INLIS) website for the Lot Number and TS / MK Number of a property.
Proceed by:
a. Clicking on the website
b. Enter the postal code or address in search criteria and click 'Search' button
c. Find the Lot Number and TS/MK Number on the map
8. What are the information I can obtain from the Legal Requisition?
You will be able to obtain the following information from the Legal Requisition:
Latest planning decision made by URA on the property
The approval and expiry date if the latest planning decision is Grant of Written Permission
The refusal date and grounds of refusal if the latest decision is a Refusal of Grant of Written Permission
The current Master Plan zoning of the property
9. Can the Legal Requisition provide information on acquisition of a property?
As the Legal Requisition only provides information on the latest planning decision and current Master Plan zoning, it does not provide information on acquisition of a property. For information on whether a property is affected by a Government Gazette Notification under the Land Acquisition Act, you may access the INTEREQ / PSS-INLIS under LAWNET. If you are not a subscriber of LAWNET, you can make use of Integrated Land Information Service (INLIS) provided by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), or visit SLA’s website.
10. Can the Legal Requisition provide information on Road or Drainage proposals affecting a property?
As the Legal Requisition only provides information on the latest planning decision and the current Master Plan zoning, it does not provide information on Road or Drainage proposals affecting a property. For information on Road proposals, you may refer to LTA’s website or purchase a Road Line Plan via INLIS website managed by the SLA. For information on Drainage proposals, you may apply for a Drainage Interpretation Plan from Public Utilities Board (PUB) or visit their website.
11. Can the Legal Requisition provide information on the approved use of a property?
The Legal Requisition can provide information on the approved use of the property only if the latest planning decision is an approval for a conversion of use of the property. Otherwise, information on the approved use of a property cannot be made known through a Legal Requisition. For information on the approved use of a property, you are advised to submit a search using the e-service Enquiry on Approved Use of Premises.
