We are anticipating new modes of mobility such as AVs, to bring about multiple benefits to residents and our living environment.

AVs potentially make travel more efficient and safer as a first-and-last mile transportation, with their more precise navigation abilities and adaptability to traffic conditions. They also present new opportunities to redesign our land and road infrastructure, including freeing up land needed for roads or car parks and converting them into more desirable uses, such as active mobility infrastructure and green spaces. 

As AV technology is still nascent, we will continue to monitor developments and work with the industry to conduct trials and study the possibility of scaling up the deployment of AVs in the longer term.
