Variety of housing options
Recognising diverse lifestyles and needs, plans will offer a wider range of housing options—supporting different life stages, preferences, and ways of living in Singapore.
We will continue to plan for a variety of housing options to cater to demographic and social trends and evolving aspirations and needs. A good mix of public and private housing will be injected within accessible locations, such as within and near the city centre.

About 6,000 HDB flats will be built on the Keppel Club site at the Greater Southern Waterfront (aerial photo of the site taken in 2019)
At the same time, we will work with agencies and the private sector to explore more housing typologies to better serve the needs of different population segments. For example, to provide more options for our seniors, we will be piloting private models of assisted living, with a tender at Parry Avenue in Kovan to be launched later this year.
Agencies will also partner the private sector to study the potential of injecting rental and co-living concepts, to make these options available for residents, especially younger Singaporeans.
