Bring urban planning to life with our curriculum-aligned lesson packages for the classroom, and ready-to-use activity sheets and booklets for your Gallery visit.
Student Learning Space (SLS) lesson packages
We have collaborated with Ministry of Education (MOE) to develop various lesson packages on Student Learning Space (SLS). These can be found on the Community Gallery.
1. URA - Singapore City Gallery Learning Journey
Aligned with the upper secondary Geography syllabus (Singapore Cluster, Topics 3.2 and 3.3), this lesson package supports students' self-guided exploration of the Gallery's exhibits. Access the lesson package and user guide. A print-friendly module plan is also available.
2. URA - Master Plan 2025
Students explore Singapore's development through URA's Master Plan 2025, and learn about the challenges of balancing diverse stakeholder needs while creating a more liveable, inclusive and endearing city. Access the lesson package.
3. URA - Balancing Competing Needs and Interests When Making Land Use Planning Decisions
Aligned with the upper secondary Social Studies syllabus (Issue 1 Exploring Citizenship and Governance, Chapter 3 'How Do We Decide What is Good for Society'), this package helps students understand how competing needs and interests are balanced in Singapore's land use planning decisions. The Dakota Crescent case study provides a real-world example of navigating complex trade-offs and managing diverse stakeholder concerns, bringing classroom concepts to life. Access the lesson package.

Explore the Singapore City Gallery with our interactive Wayground quiz. Designed as an hour-long self-guided learning experience, the quiz encourages students to explore the exhibits, make observations, and uncover insights about Singapore's urban planning journey through a series of questions and challenges.
