Tower House

About
Likely built in the 1890s, this bungalow is the last grand old mansion on the hill and a prominent landmark owing to its exceptional architecture, which makes it immediately recognisable as a building of historical significance. It was popularly known by students of the Methodist Girls' School (MGS), which used to occupy nearby premises, as "Tower House".
The Building
The bungalow's asymmetrical form and layout offer a different perception of the building from various angles. Visually, it is anchored by a central core surmounted by a tower as its high point.
