Temporary road closure of CTE (City) Exit 8A towards PIE (Tuas) on four dates in October and November 2026

15 October 2026

  1. The Central Expressway (CTE) (City) Exit 8A to Pan Island Expressway (PIE) (Tuas) will be temporarily closed to traffic on the following four dates – 20 October, 21 October, 7 November and 17 November 2026. These closures will take place during off-peak early morning hours, from 12:00am to 5:00am.

  2. The closures are required to facilitate works for the new pedestrian-cum-cycling link across the PIE, which will enhance connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.

  3. During the road closure, motorists travelling on CTE (City) intending to access PIE (Tuas) via Exit 8A should use Exit 7C to Moulmein Road and Thomson Road to continue their journey on PIE (Tuas).

  4. Please refer to the map in the Annex [PDF, 193.15 KB] (opens in new tab)for details on the temporary road closure and traffic diversion routes.

  5. Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the information signs displayed.
