Temporary road closures at two CTE(City) exits between 28 and 31 July 2026

1        Two exits along the Central Expressway (CTE) towards the city will be temporarily closed between 28 and 31 July 2026 during the off-peak early morning hours, from 12:00am to 5:00am. The closures are required to facilitate bridge-launching works for the new pedestrian-cum-cycling link across the PIE. When completed, the link will enhance connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.

2      Details of the temporary road closures as well as traffic diversion routes are as follows. Please also refer to the maps in the annexes [PDF, 221.10 KB].

28 and 31 July 2026 (Annex A)

• CTE (City) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road

Motorists travelling on CTE (City) intending to access Upper Serangoon Road via Exit 8B should use Exit 10 towards Braddell Road, to continue their journey to Upper Serangoon Road.

28 to 31 July 2026 (Annex B)

• CTE (City) Exit 8A Slip Road to PIE (Tuas)

Motorists travelling on CTE (City) intending to access PIE (Tuas) via Exit 8A should use Exit 7C towards Moulmein Road and Thomson Road to continue their journey on PIE (Tuas).

3      Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, drive carefully, and follow the directional signs displayed.
