2 JLD is a key pillar of Singapore’s decentralisation strategy, bringing quality jobs and amenities closer to homes. By integrating homes and workspaces with retail and food & beverage amenities, recreational spaces and major public transport infrastructure, JLD is envisioned to be a vibrant regional centre in the western part of Singapore. It will anchor economic activity, strengthen transport connectivity and offer a dynamic live-work-play environment.
3 The Government has invested significantly in key infrastructure to drive the transformation of JLD, including the revitalised 90ha Jurong Lake Gardens and the addition of two new MRT lines, namely Jurong Region Line (JRL) and Cross Island Line (CRL)1.
4 The White site launched today is seamlessly connected to the Jurong East MRT interchange station and the upcoming CR19 MRT Station at Jurong Lake District via multi-level pedestrian linkages. Sited next to the Jurong Town Hall national monument and a future park, this White site presents a strategic opportunity for developers to partner the Government in the development and growth of JLD. The launch of the site today marks an important step towards shaping JLD into the largest mixed-use business node outside Singapore’s city centre.

5 With a total potential Gross Floor Area (GFA) yield of 186,139 sqm, comprising a minimum of 40,000 sqm of office space, up to 1,200 private residential units and 44,000 sqm GFA of space for complementary uses (e.g. retail, serviced apartments, hotel, sports, recreational and community spaces, medical clinics, attractions), the future integrated development will complement the existing critical mass of office, residential, retail, healthcare and institutional uses to cater to diverse market needs in the area. Together with the upcoming New Science Centre and Jurong Gateway Hub2, the development will further enhance the vibrancy of JLD and contribute to the district’s vision as a live-work-play destination.
