Temporary closure of CTE (City-bound) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road in the early morning on seven dates in June and July 2026

1   The Central Expressway (CTE) (City-bound) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road will be temporarily closed in the early morning hours on seven dates between 24 June and 24 July 2026 to facilitate bridge-launching works for the new pedestrian-cum-cycling link across the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). When completed, the link will enhance connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.

2   The closure will take place from 12:00am to 5:00am on the following dates:
• 24 June 2026
• 26 June 2026
• 5 July 2026
• 15 July 2026
• 17 July 2026
• 22 July 2026
• 24 July 2026

3   During the closure, motorists travelling on the CTE (City-bound) and intending to access Upper Serangoon Road via Exit 8B should use Exit 10 to Braddell Road and continue their journey to Upper Serangoon Road.

4   The slip road from CTE (City-bound) Exit 8B to PIE (Changi-bound) will remain open and is unaffected by the closure.

6   Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, drive carefully, and follow the directional signs displayed.

7   As the project progresses, additional temporary traffic management measures, including temporary closure of a section of the PIE near the worksite, will be required in July to facilitate the bridge construction works. Details of these measures will be announced in due course.
