Temporary road closure of CTE (City-bound) Exit 8A towards PIE (Tuas-bound)

1  The Central Expressway (CTE) (City-bound) Slip Road Exit 8A to Pan Island Expressway (PIE) (Tuas-bound) will be temporarily closed to traffic from 12:00am to 5:00am on the following dates:
• 15 May 2026
• 20 May 2026
• 22 May 2026
• 24 May 2026
• 29 May 2026

2  The closure is required to facilitate bridge launching works for the new pedestrian- cum-cycling link across the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), which will improve connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.

3  During the road closure, motorists travelling from the CTE (City-bound) to the PIE (Tuas-bound) are advised to use CTE Exit 7C towards Moulmein Road to continue their journey via Thomson Road to the PIE (Tuas-bound). Motorists travelling from the CTE (City-bound) to Lorong 6 Toa Payoh are similarly advised to use CTE Exit 7C towards Moulmein Road, to continue their journey via Thomson Road to PIE (Changi-bound) before connecting to Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.

5  Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, drive carefully and follow the directional signs displayed.
