Temporary Closure of CTE (City-bound) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road from 12:00am to 2:00am on Seven Days in April and May 2026

1   There will be scheduled closures of the Central Expressway (CTE) (City-bound) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road to facilitate ongoing bridge launching works for the new pedestrian-cum-cycling link across the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). When completed, the link will enhance connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.

2   The scheduled closures are as follows:

Closure of CTE (City-bound) Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road from 12:00am to 2:00am on:
• 03 April 2026
• 15 April 2026
• 17 April 2026
• 19 April 2026
• 29 April 2026
• 01 May 2026
• 06 May 2026

3   During the closure, motorists travelling on the CTE (City-bound) and intending to exit via Exit 8B to Upper Serangoon Road are advised to use the alternative route via Exit 10 to Braddell Road, to continue their journey to Upper Serangoon Road.

4   CTE (City-bound) Exit 8B to PIE (Changi-bound) is unaffected and will remain open.

5   Please refer to the map in the Annex [PDF, 112 KB] showing the temporary road closure and alternative route.

6   Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, drive carefully and follow the directional signs displayed.
