Pilot Business Improvement Districts

Business Improvement Districts (BID) bring local stakeholders together to drive and implement initiatives that will enhance the profile and appeal of their precincts. URA has introduced a pilot BID programme to test this concept. Check out some of the projects and activities that you can look forward to in these pilot BIDs.

Discover Tanjong Pagar (DTP)

DTP enlivens the community green and surrounding areas through regular events and activities.

To strengthen community bonds, DTP partners with government organisations and local charities to organise its annual Tanjong Pagar Gives Back to bring joy to seniors and the less privileged.

Marina Central (MC)

DISTRICT M festival (2024).

MC connects communities around Singapore's iconic bayfront destination. The precinct's signature festival, DISTRICT M, is set to return in September 2025 with live music performances, artful encounters and delightful fringe programming for all to enjoy.

In July 2025, the precinct will also host its annual Waves of Wellness event, offering free high-energy workout classes and mindful craft workshops that promote the health and well-being of its community.

Raffles Place Alliance (RPA)

RPA has transformed the Central Business District into a central "buzz" district. Raffles Place Park hosts regular fitness workouts while UNWIND @ Raffles Place features programmes like outdoor movie nights, lawn games and music performances.

The precinct welcomed an interesting light art installation as part of RPA's collaboration with i Light Singapore 2025.

Playful public seating has been introduced in the park as part of the #RPchairs initiative. Look out for refreshed chair designs as part of this year's SG60 celebrations and programmes that will enliven the precinct after office hours!

Singapore River One (SRO)

SRO celebrates our river's heritage by connecting its three historic quays with regular placemaking activities and events. Look out for artistic murals adorning underpasses and back lanes. Discover creative wire art installations that retell the histories of this iconic waterway. There will also be new wayfinding signs to guide visitors to explore the precinct in a fun and engaging way.

In September 2025, check out the ninth edition of the Singapore River Festival. Expect a series of highlights such as immersive projection mapping, music performances and a pet-centric event. There will also be a design and sustainability market and an outdoor cinema to entertain visitors throughout the day.
