About the programme
First launched in 2004, the ‘20 under 45’ programme recognises young emerging Singapore-registered architects for their design excellence, ideas and leadership and the positive impact of their works on the built environment and communities. Across its three previous editions in 2004, 2010 and 2017, the programme has spotlighted 60 architects, many of whom have gone on to deliver impactful works locally and internationally, strengthening Singapore’s architectural standing.
The fourth edition (2026)
The fourth edition architects were spotlighted in the '20 Under 45' exhibition in January 2026. The architects were selected by a Selection Panel (made up of public and private professionals and academics) based on the quality of their works. The fourth edition has raised the age eligibility from 45 to 47 and increased the total number from 20 to 23, recognising significant project delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the exceptional talents and calibre of this cohort.
