SCDA30: Beyond Boundaries (A Singapore Architecture Collection Exhibition)

Discover the evolution of SCDA Architects’ expanding portfolio across scales and typologies from now till 31 July 2026 at The URA Centre.

From private residences to large-scale urban developments, SCDA Architects' portfolio is shaped by the studio’s ongoing research into high-density living across diverse climates and contexts. Through models, drawings, photography and film, the SCDA30: Beyond Boundaries exhibition offers a window into SCDA’s holistic design approach, where architecture, interiors, landscape and product design are conceived as a unified whole.
This exhibition is supported by the Singapore Architecture Collection. SCDA will be contributing some of its Founding Principal Chan Soo Khian's early sketches and other valuable archival materials shaping Chan Soo Khian's career and the firm's works to the Collection.

Chan Soo Khian: Reflecting on journey and lessons
As part of the SCDA30: Beyond Boundaries exhibition, Chan Soo Khian, Founding Principal, SCDA Architects, shared about his personal journey and lessons on sustaining the practice for close to 40 years, with 300 architects, planners, design curators, students and lecturers on 17 July. The talk is moderated by Alan Tay, Founder, Formwerkz Architects.
In the face of AI and more complex challenges, I have always strived to retain and sustain my own voice and beliefs.
