Historic address: 94 Emerald Hill Road

About
Built in 1903, the houses from 90 to 94 Emerald Hill Road were designed by Wee Teck Moh who was responsible for more than a dozen houses at Emerald Hill Road as well as many others in Chinatown and River Valley.
This house features an original airwell within its interior as well as fanlights and full-length windows with glazed panels on its exterior. These are traditional features which help to bring in natural light and encourage natural airflow through the long and narrow property.
As an effort to retain pockets of historic areas within the city to serve as links to our treasured past, the pre-war terrace houses on Emerald Hill were accorded conservation status in 1989.
