CIRCULAR TO INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
Who Should Know:
Building Owners, Developers, Architects, Engineers and Contractors
This circular informs the industry of the updates to payment options available on the CORENET X Submission Portal, including the introduction of PayNow and revised requirements for bank transfer payments, available from 13 February 2026.
Background
Previously, applicants could make payments on CORENET X through two methods: (1) credit/debit card for payments under $10,000, or (2) bank transfer for larger payment amounts. As credit/debit card payments were limited to sums below $10,000, bank transfer remained the only available method for substantial fee payments.
Bank transfer payments required manual verification and confirmation of receipt by respective agency finance teams. This manual verification process could cause delays in application processing. Applications with unverified bank transfer payments also risked delays in agency responses or potential disapprovals.
Key Changes to Payment Methods
To address these limitations, we have introduced key enhancements which include new payment options and revision to bank transfer requirements and process.
Introduction of PayNow on CORENET X
PayNow has been introduced on the CORENET X Submission Portal effective 13 February 2026 for payment amounts up to $200,0001. This enhancement provides additional payment options for amounts exceeding $10,000. Project teams are strongly encouraged to utilise PayNow for larger payments on CORENET X to facilitate timely processing of their applications2.
Revised Bank Transfer Requirements
With the introduction of PayNow as an additional payment option, bank transfer payments will only support larger transaction amounts exceeding $5,000. Project teams can utilise credit/debit card or PayNow for payment amounts up to $5,000 for submissions through CORENET X.
For payments made through bank transfer, a new feature has been introduced where applicants can include a proof of payment as part of the payment process on the Submission Portal. Applicants should ensure that payment details are true and accurate. This will allow agencies to commence checks on the application while verification of the payment takes place in parallel.
Summary of Payment Methods on CORENET X
The following table summarises the updated payment methods and their respective requirements:
Table 1: Payment methods and requirements

1 Payment amounts are capped at $200,000 due to PayNow transaction limits. Similar to current payment process, payments larger than $200,000 cannot be split into smaller payment transactions to allow payment via PayNow.
2 Additional payment enhancements for public sector projects such as integration with Vendors@Gov are being developed and will be announced in due course.
