Do not show technical agencies' requirements on URA plans
1 August 2008
Show only relevant information to URA and these are:
Any land to be set aside for road reserve, drainage reserve or open space for vesting purpose, as required by the technical departments or URA;
QP’s declaration that the road reserve lines and/or drainage reserve lines reflected in the plans are in accordance with current information obtained from the Land Transport Authority and/or the National Environment Agency.
Do not show the standard technical information and codes of practice notes of other government agencies as these are not required for planning approval. They clutter the plans unnecessarily and may slow down the evaluation process. Also, there is no need to show the Plan and sheet number annotation in the title block as they are no longer relevant in the CAD environment.
See sample plan illustrating this.

Note: All Best Practice articles are only for general information. We strongly advise readers to read the relevant circulars we issue to professional institutes for full and accurate information on development control matters as these will continue to take precedence.
