CIRCULAR TO PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTES
DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS INVOLVING NATIONAL MONUMENTS
To facilitate processing of applications involving national monuments, we would like to inform you that with immediate effect, all development applications involving any national monuments listed under "The Preservation of Monuments Act" should have the monument name followed by the word "monument" in the project caption of letters, plans and forms submitted to the URA. As an example, under the "description of proposal" box in Form DC 12 (for additions/ alterations and amendment to approved additions/alterations) the project caption should read "Additions and Alterations to the Old Thong Chai Medical Institution (Monument) involving .."
A list of the 43 monuments, as at 19 March 1999 is attached for your reference.
I would appreciate it if you could convey the contents of this circular to the relevant members of your organisation.
