We are pleased to release the new Development Control (DC) Handbooks, a one-stop portal providing information on planning and development control requirements to guide development proposals submitted for consideration under the Planning Act.
The new web-based Handbooks have been reorganised by land use, building typology or development type to facilitate quick searches and to enhance user experience.
The new Handbooks are divided into the following sub-categories:
Residential
Flats and Condominiums
Bungalows (or Detached Houses)
Semi-Detached Houses
Terrace Houses
Strata Landed Housing
Non-Residential
Commercial
Hotel
Business 1 (Industrial)
Business 2 (Industrial)
Business Park
Health and Medical Care
Educational Institution
Place of Worship
Civic and Community Institution
Sports and Recreation
Transport Facilities
The new Handbooks are now availableonline on the URA website and are also accessible on the go from your tablets and mobile devices.
We are also reviewing the Gross Floor Area Handbook and the Landed Housing e-Advisor and will release them at a later date.
In addition to the DC Handbooks, you may use theURA SPACE (Service Portal and Community e-Services) for other planning-related information such as master plan zonings, urban design guidelines, conservation areas and buildings, among others. This is an online portal packed with useful data and visualisation to provide information to building professionals, business operators and the general public.
