ADVISORY TO HOUSING DEVELOPERS
Who Should Know:
All developers with a sale licence
Effective Date:
With effect from 29 August 2022
As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 24 August 2022, existing Safe Management Measures (SMM) will be revised from 29 August 2022 as we move towards living with COVID-19.
The revised SMM for show galleries is as follows:
Mask-wearing is no longer mandatory, but is encouraged in crowded places or when interacting with vulnerable persons;
No limit on group size and no safe distancing required;
No capacity limit. However, if there are more than 500 persons (including visitors, developer’s staff, sales agents and workers) at any one time in the show gallery (eg. during the initial launch of the project for sale), Vaccination Differentiated SMM (VDS) is required. Please refer to MOH’s website https://www.moh.gov.sg/covid-19-phase-advisory for details on implementing VDS; and
Food and beverages (F&B) can be served to visitors. If F&B is served in the show gallery, Vaccination Differentiated SMM (VDS) is required¬ regardless of the number of persons in the show gallery.
Developers of existing and new show galleries are not required to submit an updated or new SMM checklist to the Controller. Please note that it is the responsibility of developers to comply with the SMM for show galleries.
Please continue to keep abreast of the latest announcements and take immediate steps to comply with the new requirements as the situation can quickly change with the emergence of new variants
