As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 11 Mar 2022, the Safe Management Measures (SMM) will be streamlined.
From 15 Mar 2022, these are the SMMs that will be applicable for show galleries:
Mask wearing to remain as the default;
Safe distancing is encouraged, but will no longer be required between masked individuals and groups;
Entry only for fully vaccinated individuals;
No consumption of food and beverage for visitors within the sales gallery; and
There is no capacity limit for all show galleries provided that there are no more than 1,000 persons, including salespersons, developer’s staff and agents, at any one time. However, should there be more than 1,000 persons at any one time, the capacity limit should be based on 10 sqm per person for the show gallery.
Developers with existing show galleries who wish to adopt the revised SMM guidelines that take effect from 15 Mar 2022 are required to submit the updated SMM checklist, in the attached format [PDF, 158 KB], to the Controller from 15 Mar 2022 onwards and no later than 2 working days after the adoption of the revised SMM. For new show galleries, developers are required to submit the updated SMM checklist, in the attached format, to the Controller at least 2 working days before opening your show gallery.
As the situation is evolving, please continue to keep abreast of the latest announcements and take immediate steps to comply with the new requirements. We seek your understanding and cooperation to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
