About
The Seletar Reservoir was officially opened by Princess Alexandra on 10 August 1969.
The History
The look-out tower was built by the then Public Works Department in the late 1960s.
The Building
The look-out tower is of the brutalist concrete style characteristic of the period.
The Legacy
It is an unforgettable sight to generations of visitors to the reservoir park. The structure was given conservation status on 3 December 2009.
Guidelines and Procedures
All proposed works will need to comply with the Conservation Guidelines and the Specific Restoration Guidelines (SRG). Conservation Permission is required before all additions & alteration works and operations of new use can begin.
Any proposed additions and alterations to this conserved structure are subject to evaluation. Please submit your proposal for URA's review.
