Historic address: 50 Dairy Farm Road
Farmhouse

About
Two buildings which used to be part of the dairy farm remain.
The Building
The cowshed is the only one of its kind known to be still standing in Singapore. It is a long symmetrical building, with a strongly rhythmic façade which has door openings along the whole front elevation. The farmhouse is a modest, single-storey, black-and-white timber building raised off the ground on masonry piers.
The Legacy
To help keep memories of our agricultural heritage, both the former cowshed and farmhouse were given conservation status on 6 April 2010.
Guidelines and Procedures
All proposed works will need to comply with the Conservation Guidelines and the Specific Restoration Guidelines (SRG). Conservation Permission is required before all additions & alteration works and operations of new use can begin.

Any proposed additions and alterations to this conserved building are subject to evaluation. Please submit your proposal for URA's review.
