How did I receive a Court Summons or Warrant of Arrest and how do I settle them?
When a parking offence is committed, reminder notices will be sent to the vehicle owner or driver. If payment is not made, this can progressively escalate to Court action or, in severe cases, a Warrant of Arrest is issued. Click to view the stages below.

Court Summons (For individuals only)

Motorist will receive a Court Summons to attend Court, if there is no payment made by the due date given in the final reminder. An additional $100 will be imposed to the original composition amount. | You can settle the case out of court by making payment here by the due date indicated in the court summons. If you missed the payment due date indicated on the court summons letter, you have to pay $300 at any AXS station on the court date stated in the letter by 5pm. Consequences of a Warrant of Arrest and steps to resolve it

A Warrant of Arrest (WA) will be issued against you, if there is no payment made by 5pm and you are absent from Court on the court date. | With an outstanding Warrant of Arrest (WA), you may be arrested anytime. You will also not be allowed to renew your: Your vehicle may be clamped or towed away. You may settle the case by making payment of your WA via our chat service, from Mondays to Fridays (excluding Public Holidays), 9am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 3.30pm. You are required to pay at any AXS platforms or via https://eservice.ura.gov.sg/pf using your notice number(s) by 4pm on the day of request. Otherwise, you are required to report to the Warrant Enforcement Unit (WEU) immediately with a bailor, who is 21 years and above and Singaporean/PR, to get a new court date. To check the status of your WA, you may log on to Singapore Police Force's (SPF) Outstanding Warrant of Arrest Enquiry System (OWAES) with your SingPass via www.police.gov.sg/e-services and select Police Records and Warrants > Warrants > Outstanding Warrant to Arrest Enquiry System (OWAES) (Public). Thereafter, you can contact us via our chat service, to pay for your WA no later than 3 days before your new court date. Once you have settled all your outstanding WAs, you may write to us via our website, https://go.gov.sg/ura-oa, to request for a physical copy of the Clearance Slip. This allows you to renew your road tax and URA/HDB season parking. |
Frequently asked questions
1. I am the vehicle owner, but was not the driver responsible on the date of offence. Why am I charged in Court for the offence?
Vehicle owners were given opportunities to provide the driver’s particulars within the stipulated grace period, or otherwise make payment for the notice. However, if the vehicle owner fails to respond to our request within the grace period given, Court actions would be initiated against the vehicle owner for failing to provide the driver’s particulars.
2. What will happen if I cannot attend Court due to some reasons?
The Court Mention Date has been fixed in advance and you are required to attend Court on that date. A Warrant of Arrest will be issued against the defendant if he/she is absent from Court on the Court Mention Date.

3. What is a cash bail?
A cash bail is imposed for defendants with multiple Warrant of Arrests. You will be required to present a Cashier's Order payable to "Registrar, State Courts". You can purchase the Cashier's Order from major banks.

4. Why was my vehicle towed away?
Vehicles with outstanding parking fines may be towed away. You can check the offence details (e.g date, location) of your outstanding URA parking fines here.
5. What should I do if my vehicle was towed away by URA?
The vehicle was towed away due to outstanding URA parking fines.
For local vehicles, the vehicle owner should check and pay for all outstanding fines at https://eservice.ura.gov.sg/pf, using their ID (SingPass login required for locals). For foreign vehicles, please check against your vehicle number.

If a Warrant of Arrest (WA) has been issued, the parking fine amount will not be available for payment. To arrange for vehicle release, you may:
Option 1: Report to the Warrant Enforcement Unit (WEU)
Check your WA at SPF's website: https://www.police.gov.sg/e-services [Police Records and Warrants > Warrants > Outstanding Warrant to Arrest Enquiry System (OWAES) (Public).].
Report to the WEU at Police Cantonment Complex, 391 New Bridge Road, Singapore 088763 with a bailor3 and obtain a copy of the bail bond.

Make payment for the WA before the court mention date stated on the bail bond.

Contact URA to request for payment at 6329 3434 (Press '3', '1' and '9' to speak to our officer) between 8.30am and 4.00pm (except 1.00pm to 2.00pm) Mondays to Fridays (except Public Holidays).
