Site Requirements

Operating Platform

The Web pages and Web-based applications hosted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) had been tested to work well on the following operating platforms including Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and MAC OS 8, 9 and iOS. Most parts of the website would be viewable with iPhone 4, 4S & 5 except those features restricted by Apple (e.g. Flash). Most parts of the website would also be viewable with Android-enabled devices depending on the features offered by their manufacturers.

Web browser

The Web pages and Web-based applications hosted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) require a minimum (or higher) Web browser of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0, Mozilla Firefox 14, Apple Safari 5, Google Chrome 22, or any other Web browser that is fully compatible with these browsers.

If you are not sure of the version of your browser, select Help in the menu bar of your browser and choose About.

Additional Information

Some web pages and web-based applications hosted by the URA require the Web browser to support Javascript, to enable Active-X (for Microsoft Internet Explorer only), to allow pop-ups for our site (*.ura.gov.sg) and accept session-based cookies. By default, the major Web browsers are configured to handle these requirements.

Additional third-party plug-ins

  • Flash Plug-in
Required for viewing of some of our flash websites.

Microbrowser

Most parts of our web pages and web-based applications would display well on most microbrowsers on mobile devices but due to the great variety of mobile devices and configurations, we are unable to cater to all. We had, however, successfully tested the browsing of our website using the following devices and browsers:

  1. Samsung Galaxy S3 with default browser
  2. Samsung Galaxy S3 with Google Chrome
  3. iPhone 4 with Safari

While we welcome your feedback on platform and browser compatibility issues, we seek your understanding that we may not be able to resolve your issues due do constraints / restrictions implemented by your mobile device platform and browser.
