Long-term planning has shaped the city that we live in today. Our long-term plans guide the development of Singapore, mapping out land uses and infrastructure needs over the next 50 years and beyond.
We review them every 10 years to ensure that they continue to be relevant in serving the needs and aspirations of current and future generations of Singaporeans. This includes considering evolving trends and an ever-changing global environment.
In this latest Long-Term Plan Review, we will be formulating land use plans and strategies based on emerging trends and possibilities in the longer-term. The aim is to prepare us for the future, by ensuring that future generations will have options and flexibility to meet future land use needs, and to shape Singapore into an even more sustainable and liveable city.
