Beach Road / Ophir-Rochor Corridor

The Ophir-Rochor corridor is planned to be a mixed-use district featuring offices, hotels and residences, connecting the established commercial node at Marina Centre to future developments along Rochor Canal and Bukit Timah Canal. It will offer opportunities for distinctive developments that are conveniently located in the city centre and set within a lush green environment.

The precinct will inject greater vibrancy into the city, with an attractive pedestrian-oriented environment complemented by public spaces and a range of retail and entertainment activities at the street level. Generous greenery will be provided along Ophir Road and Rochor Road to enhance the distinctive image of the area.

Developments in the precinct will be a mix of high-rise towers and low-rise, finer-grained buildings to create a street-based urban form that will contribute to the city skyline and, at the same time, extend the street-based experience of the Kampong Glam and Beach Road conservation areas. The developments will also be well-connected to Bugis MRT Station, where the Downtown and East West Lines meet, via a network of underground and street-level pedestrian connections.
