Submission Requirements & Explanatory Notes to Erection of Buildings / Amendments to Approved Plans
Under the powers conferred by the Planning (Development) Rules, the Competent Authority hereby requests that all applications for written permission for erection of buildings and amendments to approved plans be made in accordance with the following requirements:
1. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
In the application form, applicant should state clearly whether his application is for written permission to erect buildings, to retain buildings already erected on site, to reconstruct existing buildings or to amend approved plans.

Every application must be accompanied by:
4. SURVEY/TOPOGRAPHICAL PLAN
If the proposed development is on sloping and undulating land, the application must be accompanied by one copy of survey plan showing the existing contours at 1 metre intervals/spot levels of the development site. The survey plan should preferably be on the same scale as the proposal plan.

6. DEFINITION OF OWNER
"Owner" in relation to land or premises is defined in the Planning Act as the person for the time being receiving the rent of the land or premises whether on his own account or as agent or trustee for any other person or as receiver (not being appointed by or on behalf of a mortgagee) or who would receive the rent if the landor premises were let to a tenant and includes a mortgagee in possession.
