Further Revision of Safe Management Measures for Show Galleries Effective 16 May 2021
Published: 14 May 2021
ADVISORY TO HOUSING DEVELOPERS
Who Should Know:
All developers with a sale licence
Effective Date:
16 May 2021
This has been superseded by the latest advisory. Please refer to the
Circulars
page.
As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 14 May 2021, existing Safe Management Measures (SMM) will be revised from 16 May 2021 till 13 June 2021 (both dates inclusive).
Developers are required to implement the following changes to the SMM for their show galleries, with effect from 16 May till 13 June 2021:
the maximum capacity for the show gallery and within the show unit(s) will be based on
16 sqm per person
instead of 10 sqm per person (rounded down to nearest whole number);
the maximum number of persons in each group is reduced from 5 to
2 persons per group
, including any visitor, salesperson or developer's staff; and
no food and beverage shall be consumed in the show galleries
, so that no one should remove their masks at all times in the show galleries.
Download the revised SMM checklist
here
. While the revised SMM are effective from 16 May 2021, developers are encouraged to implement the revised SMM as soon as possible.
Developers with existing show galleries are required to update the SMM checklist and
submit it to the Controller by 18 May 2021
. For new or re-opening of show galleries, developers are required to submit the SMM checklist to the Controller at least 2 working days before opening or re-opening their show galleries.
We would like to remind developers that TraceTogether-only SafeEntry are required to be implemented at the show galleries by 17 May 2021. Scanning of barcodes on ID cards will still be accepted till 31 May 2021. More information can be found at
here
.
As the situation is evolving, please continue to keep abreast of the latest announcements and take immediate steps to comply with the new requirements. We seek your understanding and cooperation to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
