Revised Safe Management Measures for Show Galleries

ADVISORY TO HOUSING DEVELOPERS

All developers with a sale licence

  1. As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 4 May 2021, existing Safe Management Measures (SMM) will be revised from 8 till 30 May 2021 (both dates inclusive).

  2. Developers are required to implement the following changes to the SMM for their show galleries, with effect from 8 till 30 May 2021:

    1. the maximum capacity for the show gallery and within the show unit(s) will be based on 10 sqm per person instead of 8 sqm per person (rounded down to nearest whole number); and

    2. the maximum number of persons in each group is reduced from 8 to 5 persons.

  3. Download the revised SMM checklist here. While the revised SMM are effective from 8 May 2021, developers are encouraged to implement the revised SMM as soon as possible.

  4. Developers with existing show galleries are required to update the SMM checklist and submit it to the Controller by 7 May 2021. For new or re-opening of show galleries, developers are required to submit the SMM checklist to the Controller at least 2 working days before opening or re-opening their show galleries.

  5. Developers are now required to implement TraceTogether-only SafeEntry at the show galleries by 17 May 2021 instead of 1 Jun 2021. Scanning of barcodes on ID cards will still be accepted till 31 May 2021. More information can be found at here.
