Explore areas within the Kranji Marshes that were previously inaccessible via various trails, to get a close encounter with the unique freshwater marshland. The rich biodiversity means that you can spot almost 200 species of resident and migratory birds, including more endangered ones such as the Purple Swamphen and Red-wattled Lapwing.
As you take in the fresh air and sprawling natural landscapes, you’ll find useful amenities such as trails, boardwalks, shelters, hideouts and a viewing tower that have been built around the marshes. There are free guided tours conducted once a month, and informative signs located around the marshland to educate visitors on the flora and fauna found there.
Through it all, utmost care has been taken not to disturb the delicate ecology of the area. All restoration and enhancements work was done sensitively, visitorship to the marshland is carefully managed, and the ecologically sensitive Core Conservation Area remains closed to the public, except for approved activities
