We have launched a Request for Information (RFI) as part of the next phase of planning for the Pasir Panjang Power District.
The Pasir Panjang Power District has significant potential to be transformed into a vibrant, one-of-a-kind, mixed-use district characterised by its unique industrial heritage and waterfront. The historical power station buildings with their voluminous spaces can be re-purposed as new “powerhouses” to enable creativity and innovation to add to Singapore’s economic vibrancy. Attractive and inclusive public areas can also be created within and around the power stations for people of all ages to enjoy.
The Request for Information exercise will allow us to gather information on the adaptive re-use of the site and its buildings, proposed mix of uses and activities, tenure, and GFA. This information will help us further refine the planning parameters before the release of the site for development.
This exercise is launched in conjunction with our 'Power-Up Pasir Panjang' exhibition showcasing ideas from the public, professionals and students that re-imagined the Pasir Panjang Power District for the next 15 to 20 years.
