Phase 3 Heightened Alert Safe Management Measures for Show Galleries Effective from 14 June 2021

ADVISORY TO HOUSING DEVELOPERS

  1. As announced by Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 10 June 2021, existing Safe Management Measures (SMM) will be relaxed from 14 June 2021 onwards.

  2. Under Phase 3 (Heightened Alert), the following changes will be made to the SMM for show galleries:

    a. The maximum capacity for the show gallery and within the show unit(s) will be based on 10sqm per person instead of 16 sqm per person (rounded down to nearest whole number);

    b. The maximum number of persons in each group is increased from 2 to 5 persons; and

    c. From 21 June 2021 onwards, food and drinks may be consumed within the show gallery, subject to a 1m safe distance between groups.   

  3. Developers with existing show galleries who wish to adopt the Phase 3 (Heightened Alert) SMM are required to submit the updated SMM checklist to the Controller from 14 June 2021 onwards and no later than 2 working days after the adoption of the new SMM. Prior to 14 June 2021, the current SMM under Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), as set out in our advisory on 14 May 2021 will continue to apply to apply to all show galleries. For new show galleries, please submit the SMM checklist at least 2 working days before opening your show gallery. Download updated SMM checklist here.
     
  4. Developers who wish to continue with the SMM under Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) or who have closed the show galleries after 12 May 2021 should inform the Controller in writing by 14 Jun 2021.

  5. As the situation is evolving, please continue to keep abreast of the latest announcements and take immediate steps to comply with the new requirements. We seek your understanding and cooperation to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
