Inspired to activate and enhance the public spaces around you? The Lively Places Fund, a joint initiative by URA and HDB, is here to support your ideas! Shape delightful and memorable public spaces around Singapore for all to enjoy with the Lively Places Fund. To get started, share more about your ideas with us through this application form.
Who can apply? • The Fund is open to all Singapore Citizens and permanent residents • Interested person(s) can sign up either as an individual or a team, with at least one applicant above 17 years old • Existing projects which are receiving other forms of funding from other agencies are not eligible for the Fund What projects can be supported?
Projects that activate public spaces to bring residents and stakeholders together, foster stronger bonds and promote a stronger sense of community. • The project should have clear objectives and demonstrates concrete steps to achieve its objectives • Commercial events are not supported • The applicant(s) is encouraged to involve the community/stakeholders to activate and improve the public space together and the space should be accessible to the public at all times What are the funding options? • Up to $5,000 for the short-term activation of a public space for 6 months or less • Up to $20,000 for the activation or transformation of a public space that last for more than 6 months, for example, the conversion of void decks into community living rooms or longer-term pop-up installations at public spaces
