 1 - MARINA CENTRE
 

To the north of Marina Bay, the Waterfront at Marina Centre is about 700 m long with an average width of 20 m. It fronts onto the Esplanade Theatres and the adjacent vacant land parcel that is used to stage large sacle interim festivce events and activities, such as the River Hong Bao celebration during the Lunar New Year period.



  2 - COLLYER QUAY
 

To the west of Marina Bay, the waterfront fronting the Esplanade Theatres is connected is connected to Collyer Quay via the 230 m long Esplanade Bridge.

Along Collyer Quay, the New Marlion Pier is a tiered landscaped plaza stepping down into the Bay with a viewing platform extending out over the water. The adjacent segment is used as outdoor refreshment areas for a 'al-fresco' dining that are an extension of frist storey uses within the adjacent fronting One Fullerton building.

The two existing pier structures - Clifford Pier and the former Customs Harbour Branch (CBD) - as well as the exisitng vertical stone seawall that dates back to the 1920s, will be retained.


  3 - CENTRAL AND BAYFRONT


The 1.5 km long segment to the south and east at Central and Bayfront is not developed yet. The area includes the two promontory sites that extend into the Bay.

The waterfront area is around 30m wide to the south and defined by the future Marina Boulevard that is part of the one way pair of 5-lane arterial roads serving the Downtown at Marina Bay. At Bayfront the waterfront area ios around 25 m wide and defined by the future Bayfront Drive that is planned as a one-way, two-lane road which is planned to be designed to be closed to vehicular traffic during the staging of events and activities within Marina Bay or along the waterfront. The width of the promenade area can be varied locally along the Bayfront area. Teh platform level of existing land is 103.0 m Reduced Level (RL). The platform level of the adjacent future developments will be 104.0 m RL and the future stabilised water level will be around 100.0 m RL.

A landscaped visual and pedestrian link connecting the waterfront to Marina City Park is envisaged along the centrally located east-west primary access road.

The area will be connected to the Marina Centre area via a new 280 m long integrated pedestrian-cum-vehicular bridge that will complete the 3.35 km 'loop' around Marina Bay. The bridge will be raised at least 5m above the adjacent platform level of the waterfront area and 8 m above the future stabilised water level to allow for the passage of boats below.
