Final Reports By Focus Groups

Introduction

As part of the public consultation phase of the Concept Plan Review, two focus groups were formed in August 2000 to discuss the dilemmas of land use planning in Singapore. The groups, each comprising some 30 members, have spent a few months discussing the dilemmas of land allocation and identity versus intensive use of land. The groups released their interim reports in November 2000 and held a public forum to gather more feedback.

The focus groups have since fine-tuned their reports taking into account the comments they received at the public forum. They have submitted their final reports to the Ministry of National Development.
