Street and Building/Estate Name

This e-Service allows you to submit an application to seek approval from the Street and Building Names Board (SBNB) for a building/estate or street name. The application will be processed in 4 to 6 weeks.

Only the owner or the authorised applicant can submit the application. If you are not the owner, you are required to submit a letter of authorisation from the owner(s) using the letter of authorisation template.

Street Name
Only public streets are given names. Private streets, back lanes and driveways do not qualify for a street name. Please read the Explanatory Notes for Street Name before you submit the application (new name).

Building/Estate Name
Residential development with less than 5 units does not qualify for a building name. Please read Explanatory Notes and Guideline for Building/Estate Name before you submit the application (new name, change of name, withdrawal of name)

Application Status
You can check on the status of your application, anytime, using the transaction number.

Search for Existing Building/Estate and Street Names
You can check whether the building/estate or street name is already in use before you submit the application. Use name or keyword of the building or street name to check. All approved names containing the selected words will be listed.
