Bounded by New Bridge Road, Park Road, Upper Cross Street, South Bridge Road, Sago Street, Trengganu Street and Smith Street, the area was given conservation status on 7 July 1989. It contains mainly two- and three-storey shophouses of Transitional, Late and Art Deco Shophouse Styles.
