Marina Bay Development Agency

As Singapore’s national planning authority and Marina Bay’s development agency, the Urban Redevelopment Authority is working actively with communities and partners to create a Garden City by the Bay.

Meticulous land sales facilitation brings peace of mind to investors

URA is responsible for planning and implementing the Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme, which makes land available to the private sector on fixed term leases. We provide an integrated sales service by co-ordinating across government agencies to help resolve infrastructure issues. Clear and transparent planning and urban design guidelines for all sales sites also bring certainty and a faster approval process for investors.

Flexible planning to meet changing trends and needs

Instead of fixing and dictating a definite use to every parcel of land, we have zoned the majority of sites in Marina Bay as ‘white sites’, such that developers can choose between commercial, residential, hotel or any mix of these uses. We set the stage for you to roll out your script.

Bringing you seamless connection with the rest of the world

Apart from road networks, Marina Bay will also be linked by Mass Rapid Transit lines to the rest of Singapore. Marina Bay is 10 mins away from Tanjong Pagar International Port, 20 mins away from Changi International Airport, and 40 mins away from the two causeways that link Singapore to Malaysia.

No one will ever be caught in the dark

We have also planned for reliable telecommunication and utilities network, housed in a Common Services Tunnel, and a district cooling system to serve all companies at Marina Bay. These networks are specified to suit the needs of financial institutions which require higher and alternative sources of power provisions, water and air-conditioning supplies to assure non-stop 24/7 operations.
