Development Co-ordination

URA coordinates the efforts of various government agencies in implementing selected infrastructural facilities and key environmental improvement projects. Successful development coordination entails the timely completion of infrastructure, laying the foundation for future developments that meet commercial, housing and recreational needs.

Our effort facilitates realisation of the planning vision for a conducive living environment. Singapore River and Tanjong Rhu have been transformed into better places to live, work and play in. At Changi Point and the Southern Ridges, features like boardwalks, park connectors, pedestrian bridges and elevated walkways have opened up new recreational areas and brought in new activities. The relocated Merlion Pier offers locals and tourists a scenic place to relax and admire the city.

URA also coordinates and puts in place infrastructure such as the Common Services Tunnels (CST), sewers, roads, and the waterfront promenade, parks and bridges at Marina Bay. Other exciting upcoming projects include Jurong Lakeside District and Jurong Gateway, the Kallang-Bugis Area and the Paya Lebar Sub-regional Centre.
